The other day Dave and I saw this raw clock form while we were browsing through the craft store in Somerset West. So we gathered-up all the clock-parts needed to make the clock and set off for home.
What you need:
- a wooden clock form of your choice
- a clock mechanism
- clock arms of your choice
- any wood primer
- high gloss spray paint(in the colour of your choice)
- news paper to work on
D.I.Y. :
- Paint your clock form with the wooden primer, at least two layers(leaving to dry between layers)
- When dry, spray with high gloss spray paint, as many layers as needed(leaving to dry between layers)
- Now, using a different colour high gloss spray paint, spray your clock arms to match your clock/theme.
- Attach your clock mechanism at the back of your clock form, fasten your clock arms and Bob's your uncle!
Isn't it just a beauty? It's so quick and easy to make and it really turns that boring white wall into a classy, yet simplistic focal point.
Hope you enjoy making your own clock as much as I enjoyed making this one:)
