Outfit Love...

This was one of those days when I woke up kind of down, took a shower and started getting my outfit together... when I was done, I was completely cheered up! This one is all Vintage! I'm just loving this outfit! It's so pretty, feminine and fun. The colours are so beautiful and every "unrelated" item worked together perfectly to create a whole lot of happiness.

  • Minty Rose Brooch - These OddOneOut beauties are available @R40 from MishMash
  •  Ivory Necklace - This beauty came from the market in Hartebeestpoort Dam, back when I didn't know much about the whole poaching thing. I would never have bought it had I been wiser then.
  • Vintage belt - This lovely multi-strand-braided, metallic, belt was in a bag full of scraps my Aunt Leiro gave me some years ago.
  • Vintage Floral Dress - this piece of art is not just any vintage dress, it is handmade to perfection. I found it at our local charity shop, Rotary Ann's it was only R25.
  • Vintage leather handbag - many years ago, I found this treasure at the bottom of a crate in some thrift store, I paid R20 for it.
  • Leather sandals - my lovely Mr. P sandals, I love this colour<3

Outfit Love - warm in autumn

The strange thing about this outfit, is that every item has been in my closet for quite some time now. They are odd pieces that never went with anything else, yet I couldn't get rid of them. Then out of the blue they all just came together, like they'd been waiting for each other :)
  • Leather necklace(trio of hearts) by OddOneOut @R100 from MishMash. This is one of my favourite pieces, it simply goes with everything
  • Silk scarf a gift from my Gran, it is hand dyed using the Batik method
  • Yellow tank top from Mr.Price, I bought this one a year ago
  • Plum cardigan from Meltz, I bought this one two years ago
  • Floral skirt from Smiley's, I bought this when I was still in school. Smily's doesn't even exist anymore but I love this skirt, it's made from a lovely Viscose fabric
  • Brogues from Mr.P, they are so comfy and versatile, I sometimes don't even notice how much I really wear them<3
There's nothing like a pretty outfit to make you feel good!

Autumn is here...

Oh, dear! I'm so sorry that I didn't post my Outfit L.O.V.E. on Tuesday... We were on the road back from George, after spending the Easter weekend with Dave's parents.  It was quite the chilly weekend, rainy with the wind blowing like crazy and just freezing weather. Now we're back and it seems the turn of the season had snuck up on us over night... This outfit love is a perfect Autumn outfit and the orange is so fitting as the leaves start to change colour.
  • Textile necklace @R140 in turquoise& orange is part of my latest range of Textile jewellery by OddOneOut available at MishMash
  • Crop-sleeve knit, I bought from Mr.P quite some time ago
  • Crochet Bracelet/bangle @R50 is always a favourite accessory by OddOneOut available at MishMash
  • Turquoise dress with frill detail I bought from Exact a while back
  • Leggings with Lace are from a local shop
  • 50's Style heels are from Edgars, also bought some time ago
Love this fun yet sexy little number<3

Ah, I felt like pastels today...

So.... I woke up this morning and felt like wearing pastels. After a bit of digging, I decided to put on the following:
  • Dave gave me the butterfly ring as part of a "lucky packet" Christmas gift three years ago
  • The "B" brooch I bought from my most favourite little second hand shop in Hermanus, Matchbox
  • This beautiful vintage blouse, I found at Rotary Ann's charity shop, in town. I absolutely adore this fabric design
  • I love my trio of OddOneOut necklaces, the rainy cloud necklace is R95 each, the pearl drop necklace is R80 and the three step pearl necklace is R90 and they're all available at MishMash
  • The braid bracelets I made from a Pinterest DIY
  • My stripy shorts are from Mr. P
  • My grey gladiator sandals are also from Mr. P
these colours make me feel like Spring even thought our Autumn has just begun<3

Outfit Love

I'm in love with this outfit!
  • The lovely triangular floral scarf with pretty trimmings is available at MishMash for only R75
  • I just love this high waisted skirt, bought from Mr.P last year some time. It's so comfy, yet feminine and the vintage polka dot print makes it AWESOME! It also came with this cute little belt which matches up perfectly with...
  • ...my Mr. P brogues <3
This outfit makes me feel like ME, with almost no effort at all:)

Outfit Love

Man, I just love these colours!
  • My lovely leather trio of hearts necklace, is hand cut &made by me. They will soon be available forsale at our facebook shop, MishMash at R100 each.
  • This amazing Viscose, Navajo print scarf from MishMash is R95.
  •  My favourite crochet bangle by OddOneOut seems to work with a lot of my outfits and it just adds that lovely detail that makes your outfit unique(similar crochet bangles R50 each from MishMash)
  • The tie-dyed dress is my own d.i.y. It was a beautiful white dress I bought at Mr.P some years ago. One day it came out of the wash full of yellow blotches because someone had put a new garment in the bundle which wasn't colour-fast. The dress was too pretty to throw out but I couldn't wear it like that, so I decided to dye it dark blue. It came out so nice, I wear it almost every day (weather permitting, that is...).
  • Lovely leather-look Brogues from Mr. P, they're so comfortable and the go with pretty much any outfit<3

Love this outfit on a warm day<3

Pretty fabric hairpins:)

About a year ago I found a pattern on the net(can't find the link now) on how to make a fabric flower. It took some practice but here it is in Spring colours. The first picture below is of a hair-clip I made using the yo-yo pattern. The second picture below is of a hair-clip I made using the net pattern. The ribbon used is from Ebony&Ivory.

Some lovelies for your hair R85 each.

Hello, MishMash! Where have you been all my life?

Ta-dah! Welcome to my little shoppy. My name is done at last, finished and up where it belongs and looks oh so pretty! happy-happy-happy:)

I would just like to thank David for making the name with his own hands, oom Joppie for the router work beneath the name, my Dad for always helping (and for all his advice) and last but not least, myself for designing it (hehehe)

It's still in working progress, getting shelving done, finding the right suppliers, and so on... but it's coming on nicely. Oh yes, another thanx to the three mentioned above for making my cloud-shelf:)
If you're in the Hermanus area, do show your face. MishMash is in the Victoria Square, behind the Pick'n'Pay.
