Outfit Love: Vintage Rose Print

It has been way to long since I stopped by here…It wasn't till my friend Natasha posted that she would be taking a blogging-break that I realised I had been on one. An involuntary one I might add. Life has been strange the past six months. Time has evaporated like warm breath in the cold Winter air. Things that were once important, now seem quite trivial. The reasons for getting out of bed in the mornings are no longer of importance… I find myself quite stuck! I need to do more with my life but there are just too many things occupying my mind at the moment, I seem to have a dark cloud overcasting my mind… If that makes any sense at all. July has come rather quick, as the past months have done. I can only hope that I can move forward this time.

Well, it is after all Outfit Love Tuesday! I would love to just quickly share my pretty dress with you…it suites the kind of ominous feeling I have quite well. Vintage colours of times and eras lost to us now.

-I never do this, but this time I actually think it works…matching two different patterns together-

-aren't these flats just too cute?-

Okay, outfit shared. Now I would like to invite you all to join me in some #oddoneowlspotting! I'm forever spotting owls wherever we go. I have been on the owl-loveing-thing for way longer than I've been on any other "love". I then thought it might be fun if you all joined me in my #oddoneowlspotting expeditions!

To join in the fun, you need to:

-follow me on instagram
-spot some owls
-post at least three times a week
-add the tag #oddoneowlspotting

on 31 July, I will do a round-up of the best #oddoneowlspotting insta-pics and post them right here on the blog. My very favourite instagram will be awarded a small oddoneout token of appreciation, my way of saying thank you for taking the time to have some fun with me.

Good luck and here's to a wonderful July!

30 Skirts in 30 Days: #23 High Waisted and Gathered

What a beautiful Sunday we are having. The sun is shining with all it's might, there's a light breeze and it is roasting out! We'll probably go down to the beach a bit later. I just quickly wanted to share yesterday's skirt with you guys. Like many of my skirts, I found this one at Mr.Price a few years ago. It's made of 100% Viscose, as you well know is my favourite dress fabric! The tiny polkadots are designed in a random scatter, making it quite different to any other polka dotted prints I've seen.

- I simply love, how this skirt adds vintage flair to any outfit. It light and feminine and I love wearing it. You can dress this skirt up or down for any occasion-

Ps. I will be posting todays skirt sometime tonight

Enjoy your Sunday, hope your doing something fun today!

30 Days of Dresses: Dress #5

For some reason this outfit reminded me of the 1920's. Don't quite know why, maybe the very fine polka dots on the dress or my polka dotted stockings... Anyway, this dress is made of Viscose, one of my favourite textiles. It's light and flowy and oh so comfortable. The colour scheme reminded me of the Autumns back in Pretoria where we used to live. All the trees would be covered in shades of red, orange and yellow, some even turn deep dark plum before throwing off their leaves. I do miss that, being able to see the seasons change... Here in our new town, Hermanus, in the Western Cape, we have winter rainfall. This means everything turns green, it's quite strange but nice in a way.

-this dress is awesome, I have worn it many different ways and right through the year. Did you see my cute little Alice band with the bow? It was a gift from my father-in-law, I just love it! The bow is stuffed which makes it squishy-

-this lovely brooch(top) is from my Country Charm range. It's earthy and goes with almost everything. My awesome pumps (below) are so comfy and versatile, as you'll notice in my other post that I tend to wear them a lot-
