A High Tea and a Serious Case of Bloggers Block

Oh No! October is gone! I missed my Birthday month completely :( I have prepared some posts but just couldn't get to blogging… has that happened to any of you before? The one month I have tons to blog about and I just can't get myself so far as to write the posts.

So today, Dave is working late, again. So I've been spending my Friday nights with the gals over at the Tiny Owl Knit group on Ravelry. Stephanie from Tiny Owl Knits gives away a free pdf pattern every Friday. They call it Free-Pattern-Friday. Anyway, I'll share that some other time…what I really wanted to share with you about two weeks ago is the High Tea I attended at Delau Wellness Center. I was joined by my friends Lily and Natasha (Bamboo Blossom).

-There were treats galore! From red velvet cake to Crème brûlée. Hazelnut Coffee…and all kinds of yummy flavoured teas! It was so nice to be there, meet new ladies and stuff ourselves with delicious sweetness-

  

-Thanks to Karien Louw Schutz, owner of  Delau Wellness Centre right here in Hermanus. We had a great time and would gladly do it again!

a Holiday and my 30th Birthday Bash

Hello my friends! I have missed you so! I just have to firstly apologize for the halt in Skirt posts...a few unforeseen happenings have tied my hands. I was visiting family with Dave, my parents and little brother. They just left for home this morning and I'm staying on another week to see friends a spend some tome with my favourite people here in Pretoria.

So far this past week was crazy, awesome and went by way too fast! My Gran and I share birthdays and we usually held joined family parties(when we still lived here in Pretoria). This past Friday, my family organised a 30th Birthday surprise party for me(a week early). It was awesome! This was my very first surprise party! I was so overwhelmed, I started to cry. My Aunt Zelda and her daughter Zandienne, found my Pinterest board, My 30th Birthday Inspiration and organised decor and props for a photobooth, the works! My god-parents got most/all of the food and organised their back yard for an out door movie night... It was just so amazing! Thanks to my parents, friends and familie...and Dave! You guys made my 30th a most memorable day!

crochet gifting

One day I strolled into my favourite secondhand shop, Matchbox, to show my friend, Irma, a owl hat I had crocheted for my friend Adrienn's baby photography business, Baby Tale. Irma loved it so much that she commissioned one for herself...only, it were to be in soft pastelly pinks, should have a flower and need not look like an owl:) Off course, now I had to find a pattern that would fit an adult... and I did, well, it fits! I found one right here. I changed the pattern to suite my friend's needs and she just loves it, yay! It makes me so happy when people get all excited over something I've made them...

...and just in time for winter which is right around the corner<3

awesome weekend, past...!

Friday night we visited friends in Cape Town. They have been inviting us for, like, ever! We had such a great time and lots of fun:)

 Driving back on Saturday afternoon, we stopped at Gordons Bay to admire the view...
