Outfit Love: Cloudy Greys

Oh wow! We've been having such mixed up weather, the it's hot then it's cold…rainy…sunny. Many mornings we'd wake up with it raining outside. Naturally, I would then put on warmer clothes as I get cold easily. By lunch time it's so hot that I end up taking off all my layers. This particular day was exactly like that.

-I couldn't believe my luck when I popped into the Pick 'n Pay Clothing store and found this totally dreamy bunny print shirt and in my size! I took it immediately!
-The grey cardi is also from PnP, I bought it at the start of 2014 and have been wearing it every other day. I'm loving their clothes at the moment, it seems more inline with the style I'm into.
-My grey jeans I found at Ackermans, on sale, last year. I wear them a lot! They are just sooooo comfy.
-For the first time in ages, I found exactly the right pair of black boots. They are from Fashion Express, they just packed these babies out, so they are still available to purchase. I've been looking for excuses to wear them, everyday :P

-Above you can see the bunny print nicely, and also my statement necklace (Mr. Price). I bought the necklace on sale quite a while back but never had the right outfit to pair it with. This outfit really made friends in my cupboard over night and jumped out at me in the morning!
-This adorable lazercut bunny brooch is from Hello Bebe, local creatives. Their accessories are vintage inspired and their packaging is just awesome!

~hope you had a lovely Tuesday~

30 Skirts in 30 Days: #21 Navaho High-low

Happy Thursday, Friends! It's almost weekend! I am devouring a Caramel Aero as we speak, so to say, ha! With NCIS playing in the background, man I love this series! So, back to business…

Skirt #21, I shared this skirt with you quite a while ago already here. It's just such an awesome skirt, I just had to include it in my challenge. I must say, I like this outfit better than the old one.

-my pretty skirt is from Ackermans, it so flowy and light. I love everything about this skirt-

-I'm crazy for anything Vintage. I don't think a day goes by that I don't have something Vintage added to my outfit. The belt I'm wearing is a genuine leather, Vintage belt my Aunt gave me. She wore it back in the 1970's. What style or era do you like to add or base your outfits on?

-leave a comment below, I'd love to know your thoughts-

30 Skirts in 30 Days: #18 Raccoon in Red

Hahaha....I'm not the lady in red, I'm the Raccoon in Red. Okay, I'm sorry. I get weird when I'm freezing. I here it's scorching in Pretoria, I simply cannot wait anymore! We're road tripping straight into Summer, yay! This has been the longest Winter since we moved to Hermanus three years ago.

Back to the skirt, This pretty little number has made an appearance on my blog before (have a look here). I bought this skirt when I was still in high school at a shop called Smileys. Some of my South African followers might recall this lovely retail store. Yes, I still wear it very often. Though the length is out of fashion, I don't feel I want to shorten it. It's just so comfortable and if it was creased coming out of my closet, by the time I walk out the door the creases are gone. It's strange, they just seem to fall out.

just a quick what's what:
-My Raccoon beanie is from Mr.Price
-This lovely red jersey, my friend Adrienn gave me
-My pretty Smileys skirt is made of a 100% Viscose
-My cosey textured stockings are from Woolworths
-My sexy laser cut heels are from Ackermans

...and only two more sleeps before we leave

30 Days of Dresses: Dress #6

Shades of Grey and a tiny hint of red... I must say, it is getting much cooler now. I'll have to start wearing a bit more layers. This outfit was fine till about 5 pm, then I had to put something warmer on. What I love about this dress is that it is a great "between seasons" kind of a dress. The knit cotton fabric makes it warm enough for cool breeze of Autumn. The cold shoulders makes it cool enough for the heat of the midday sun, which (by the way) is still quite scorching.

-man, I love it when Dave takes my photo's! just look at the lovely flair he managed to get for me-
oh deer! what happened to the D in "Cold Shoulder Dress"? above

-here you can see my dress' cold shoulder detail-

-this one's for my aunt Bernadette, I know you'll absolutely love these! I do-

So day 6 is done and I am really struggling not to put my jeans on in the mornings... This is a much bigger challenge than I thought! It has it's good points though. This challenge forces me to plan my wardrobe for the next day, it forces me to get creative because of the cooler weather and it forces me to wear the stuff I have in my closet. Not to get stuck on a hand full of items which have become my comfort zone.

Oh, I'm participating in another group giveaway! This one is for my friend Natasha's birthday, it starts tomorrow! Keep an eye out...

30 Days of Dresses #1

Can you believe that it is May already? It is officially Autumn here in South Africa, the air is crisp and the shadows are long. The sun rises more than an hour later and sets more than an hour earlier. As I am turning 30 in October (I know, the big 3.0.) I have decided to start collecting things in 30's. It may sound stupid, but it's quite a big year and I want to prepare myself for this big number. So my first collection is 30 Days of Dresses! This means no jeans for a month! Hope I can keep it up... During the next 30 days, I will not only be wearing a dress every day but I will be revamping old or vintage dresses and maybe even thrift some too. The month of May is going to be a dress adventure month. I hope you will join me on this adventure as it unfolds on my blog and that you will enjoy it with me.

-this first dress is pretty strait forward, I found it at Mr.Price and loved it! It also has cut-out detail on the back but I forgot to ask Dave to take a picture of that-

-these sunnies belonged to either my grandmother or her sister, it was given to my uncle Drean who gave it to my little brother Andre' when he was four and then I rescued them from his toy trunk before he threw out all his old toys-

-Dave bought me these sexy heels for Christmas-

Outfit Love: Aztec prints and an Owl

Wow! I'm super slow today! I've seem to be coming down with the flu or something, so yesterday Dave brought me some meds to help fight the bug before I really get sick. But now it's making me super lethargic! But non the less, here I am, doing my Outfit Love post. Just to share with you a few pretty items I found and to show off our beautiful surroundings.

NOTE TO SELF: next time tie hair up for photo's shot in crazy wind

~Nude button-up shirt: found at local thrift store
~My awesome antiqued bronze Owl necklace with enamel detail: from Mr. Price
~This Aztec print, high-low skirt is so lovely and flowing: from Ackermans
~Genuine Leather thong sandals: from Mr.Price

~ Oh how I have searched for an owl just like this one and there it was at Mr. Price, just waiting for me to take her home. And so I did! These photo's were taken at one of our favourite spots. It's called Sievers Point and it is such a lovely quiet place on the rocks with the most beautiful view of Walker Bay and Grotto Beach, Hermanus.
